Target Audience: Emergency Medical Services, Healthcare, Public Health
Description: Prepares responders to effectively respond to a CBRNE or Mass Casualty Incident (MCI). The EMO course provides classroom lectures, extensive hands-on training, and culminates with a hands-on practical exercise that allows responders to implement the emergency response knowledge and skills learned during the course. This course is eligible for the following continuing education credits:
- International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET): 3.2
- Nursing, through Alabama Board of Nursing (nurses only): 32
- Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (Emergency Medical Technicians and paramedics only): 32
Periodicity: Available to individuals or organizations per Center for Domestic Preparedness schedule.
