Advanced Radiological Emergency Response Operations

Target Audience:  Individuals filling a hospital patient decon team radiation safety officer or team leader position.

Description:  Provides participants with the advanced skills necessary to safely respond to and manage incidents involving radiological hazards. Participants apply these skills in tabletop exercises based on realistic radiological incident scenarios, set within the ICS structure.

Continuing education credits include:

  • International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET): 4.0
  • Police Officer Standards and Training (POST; approved per state):
    40

Periodicity:  Available to individuals or organizations per Center for Domestic Preparedness schedule at no course or travel costs.

Course Length:  40 Hours/5 Days
