Why become a Coalition Partner?

According to a report for The California Endowment, “What Makes Coalitions Effective: Evidence-Based Indicators of Success,” a coalition’s capacity is inherent in the collective capacity of its members.  As such, the capacity of the Southeast Minnesota Disaster Health Coalition to influence a higher level of disaster health and medical capability throughout organizations and communities across the region is inherent in the collective capacity of our “partners.”

Individuals and organizations working collaboratively across a spectrum of disciplines to develop and maintain disaster health and medical capabilities will help to clarify roles, responsibilities, and assumptions about response and recovery.  Collaboration helps facilitate interoperability while leveraging existing capacity inherent throughout organizations and communities across the region.  At the same time, collaboration will minimize redundant work and other inefficiencies and maximize resources.

How do I become a Coalition Partner?

Simply by supporting the purpose of the Coalition, and by signing either a SEMN DHC Partner Agreement or SEMN DHC Partner Resolution, an organization or department can identify as a Coalition Partner.

Completed agreements/resolutions can be emailed to Hospital@semndhc.org, faxed to 507-255-6335 or mailed to Mayo Clinic, 200 First St SW, Rochester, MN 55905  ATTN: Emergency Management
